My child, for her mad dance skillz and ability to thrive, even with me as a mother.

About me:
Mid-thirties
Midwestern
Midway to my next neurotic episode.
Born and raised in Sedalia, Missouri. Living in Saint Louis.
Married since 1999, so don't get all "hey baby" with me.
Mom to Clara Jane since 2004.
I used to own a wee catering company of my very own, but I gave it up at the beginning of 2006. I also wrote for a local foodie magazine and taught cooking classes. Now, with the abundant leisure time that all stay at home parents have, I knit, cook, write, loiter at coffeehouses, worship my iPod, go to as many live shows as possible, sew/quilt, read, and try to use my brain as much as possible, lest it turn to the consistancy of Malt o' Meal.
Who I'd like to meet: Lots of people. I particularly enjoy other moms who transcend the typical. My family's in the process of moving to Belleville, Illinois, so I'm always pouncing on Belleville folk. I'd love to meet boys with guitars, but my husband's not so crazy about that option.

During the year may you have Enough happiness to keep you sweet. Enough trials to keep you strong. Enough sorrow to keep you human. Enough hope to keep you happy. Enough failure to keep you humble. Enough success to keep you eager. Enough friends to give you comfort. Enough wealth to meet your needs. Enough enthusiasm to make you look forward to tomorrow. Enough determination to make each day better than the day before.
I made your pie yesterday during a study break. Drew was so excited and was reminding me of the dad in A Christmas Story when he's prancing around waiting for the turkey to finish. It's delish, and I'm going to make it for Christmas gatherings, too! :)
