About me: Site maintained by John L. Egan, Jr. as a tribute to Dad, and all the B26 Crews.
I am collecting his history from material my mother and sister have to begin his bio on this page.
This site is under construction, but here is a British, I believe, newsreel-type show about a B-26 wing. Lt Col Egan (then Major) piloted a B26, and was Flight Commander of the 322 Bombardment Group (Medium), and the last pilot to fly "Flak Bait" whose nose section rests in the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum.
In this video you can see an up close look at a B-26 Martin Marauder. Just cut and paste the following link into your browser.

More videos to come.
Although I am focusing on WW II right now, Dad also served during the Korean War, and was one of the pilots of the Berlin Airlift. He retired from the USAF after 23 years of honorable service as a Lt. Col., and passed away at age 85, Dec 5, 2002. He was given full military honors by the Hill Air Force Base Honor Guard, and an F-16 flyover at his funeral in Layton, UT.

Who I'd like to meet:
Lt. Col. John L. Egan, USAF, Ret's Friend Space (Top 15)
