Interests

  • General

    Yippee - he's coming back:-

    ..
  • Music

These days, I prefer the raw, local music of which we have lots and lots in Edinburgh and Leith, in particular. My favourite singer/songwriter of all time is definitely LEE PATTERSON but there are a great many who I would go out of my way to see. Have a wee wander round my "friends" section - most of them are there.
  • Movies

The brilliant Timothy London has made a video of his remix of my fave girls and my "Guardian Angel" is in it - check out his lipsticked stubble, I'm sooooo proud of him!

  • Television

Ah, grab a glass of wine, sit back and indulge yourself in this instead:-

.. and pour yourself another one and watch this - Graham Brodie (the lovely man... lovely man) .. and before you indulge in the rest of the bottle, best to heed Kieran Halpins plea for moderation:-

  • Books

The Complete Works of Oscar Wilde and just about anything else I can get my hands on but NOT any under that misnomer "woman's book". Who on earth thought that one up - surely "girlie book" is more appropriate. Let the publishers publish shite and be damned but don't do it in the name of women! Despite being friends for many years with a wonderful man who was a poet, I never really got into poetry until recently. Currently loving "Fugitive Bullets" - thanks Rodney/Graham - which you can buy at Elvis Shakespeare.
  • Heroes

    Angus! All the underpaid musicians.

About me:

..

Myspace Editor
Pimp MySpace

I disprove the theory that Rust Never Sleeps! I like kindness and mutual respect but CANNOT be bothered with people who are into the "virtual" lovey-dovey thing or talentless nonsense including those who actually managed to get signed up and sell CDs (Phil Collins, Daniel O'Donnell anyone??). If you can't play and lack strongly in the personality department, why inflict yourselves upon the civilised world's aurals?

When I'm not ranting, I like to keep my friends happy with music and things I do with fruit and yeast ....

Keep your individuality people - sheep have their place in this life (in open spaces not on plates!) but you don't have to think like them.....

“The thing I like most about Edinburgh is that there’s no bullshit or ego. Music shouldn’t be a competition — if a band are successful, it’s not to the detriment of anyone else. There’s a shared outlook. It’s not even necessarily the same kind of music we’re making, but I guess it’s more about embracing that DIY ethic. No one is sitting around waiting for a major label to come calling – we’re just getting out there and making music, without necessarily having that expectation that it needs to lead to bigger things.” The magnificent, and modest, BartOwl tells it like it is

and here's homage to my more traditional roots:-

The Zips- Donald, Wherr's Yer Troosers?

I really don't get much time to be on Myspace at the moment and have tons of friend requests awaiting attention. I don't have time to check everyone out so if you want an add please send me a message telling me why and if you're someone I know, I apologise if you've got lost in the myriad. If I don't know you, persuasion is good! I'm not just being "precious" about this, honest.

Who I'd like to meet:

I'm lucky, I usually meet lovely people and don't even understand the "celebrity thing" - wouldn't want to meet anybody associated in that way.
