He was 64, and was to begin a European tour the following week. "He had a nice spirit -- very soulful and a very good songwriter," says Toots Hibbert of the Maytals, who befriended Dekker while recording in Kingston in the '60s. "Of course, he should have gotten a lot more credit, but that's the way it goes sometimes." ..

About me:
.. All set luncheonette, kitchenette to let, I bet to get hamburgerette again. We met in a launderette and kissed beneath the air jet. No sweat, no threat, another one in the back of the net. When I met Jeanette, substitute Ronette, she said will you remember? Said I could never forget her. Au naturalette, her mom's a millionette. So we shared one last cigarette and swapped false addresses, Jeanette, Jeanette. Dangerous! She's like damp dynamite. Oh boy, enjoy, have a nice night. Won't you promise to write me whenever you can, make sure you warn me if you're coming to Birmingham. I get Jeanette, substitute Ronette, she said Will you remember? said I could never forget her, Jeanette No no no I'll never forget you...Who I'd like to meet:
Shane MacGowan

Hola!

For those who haven't heard, we'll be in the studio these next few months to record a new album with the renowned reggae singer, Eyon Irie. After that it's summer shows and writing songs for the next Orbits album!
In the meantime, if you don't have our self-titled cd yet, you can still pick it up on CD Baby and Itunes. Or you can get it and other Orbits gear directly from us here:
And swing by our myspace site to check out our new videos!
Good day! Just a quick note to let you know about our next show! This will be our only one for a while, since we'll be taking some time off to record another album with Eyon Irie. Come say hi to our newest members - Paul on drums and Carlo on saxophone.

Make it a full weekend by checking out Culture Yard's Bob Marley Days on the 6th and 7th!
And for anyone who hasn't yet heard our album, you can still get it on our website at www. georgetownorbits. com, or by clicking here:
It is also available at CDBaby and on iTunes
