After four very enjoyable enjoyable and rewarding years, very sadly, we've decided to put the screens around One Night Stand and shoot it.
The main reason we started doing One Night Stand way back in August 2004 was because there wasn't anything like it around at the time in Witney. Now there are several open mics around, so it's not needed so much, which seemed the case when we reconvened for the September edition. We've had some memorable nights - what other acoustic night has had four consecutive Nicks?
There have been some eye-wateringly good performances from some of the most talented musicians in Oxfordshire and beyond, some courageous ones from people who've never played outside their own bedroom, and lots in the middle. From music to poetry to comedy and everything in between- Thanks very much to everyone who's played or come along and supported the night. We've thoroughly enjoyed doing it, and have met some great people doing it, and really hope that you have all enjoyed the ride.
We're still planning to do SOME kind of less frequent event, maybe a quarterly ONS if we know we have the support for it in the future, but in the meantime, here are some other acoustic nights in the area that you might like to look out for...
