With scores of inter-college festivals in the country, how do you decide which campus really rocks? To answer that question, we took all the classic personality contest rounds from college events, gave them a Channel [v] twist, and organised a nation-wide drive to find that one college that rocks beyond a doubt!

We received hundreds of entries from campuses all over the country, and finally narrowed it down to nine finalists that would battle it out for the title of India’s first Campus Star. Off-beat rounds and celebrity judges only added to the mix, as audiences from all over India tuned in to vote for their favourite contestants, or for their own college.

Well, the votes are in. You, the people, have spoken – India’s 1st ever Campus Star is Niharika Negi from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai. She walks away with the title, oodles of fame and a cool five lakhs in cash. St Xavier’s College also wins a complete Channel [v] makeover, worth another five lakhs, just for having such an outstanding student. Congratulations, Niharika!
