The credential classes require a lot of busy work and a lot of time. I've been drinking copious amounts of green tea as a result. Over the winter break I got about half a novel done; I hope to finish it this summer.
What do you think of self-publishing?

Oh, I'll be there today too. I'm going to the student reading at 4:00-5:00. Gimme a call or a text if you're gonna be around before or after.

Well, first off, because I like Rice. And secondly, after taking 200A, I just could not bear to take any class other than something I totally wanted to do for the pure joy of it. 200A is a real sphincter probe man. I was ready to say screw the MA half way through that class, and I didn't even have as hard ass a professor as other people get.

230A (creative writing) with Rice. Ashley is in there, and there's another guy I have seen a few times before, I think his name is Dean... and there's that chick that was in our autobiography class with Grandbois, Tara I think is her name. Other than that I don't know anyone in there. The average age is pretty high in that class. lol. I think I'm the median age group.

Blurbs

About me:

I am a writer of fiction and poetry. I consider myself the love child of Hemingway, Faulkner, McCarthy, and David Lynch. I love film, too. Anything surreal or horrifying that challenges received ideas.

I am also a huge theory junkie. Whether we're talking continental philosophy or analytic philosophy, the postmodern or enlightenment vision, idealism or realism, existentialism or structuralism, psychoanalysis or neuropsychology, Marxism or feminism, I'm in.

I like people with the courage to speak the truth, to challenge programmed beliefs, and fight for political change. For me, philosophy is meaningless unless it is used as a tool for change.
.... ..

Who I'd like to meet:

Artists and philosophers.
