    ...... Brothers Next Door is a Hip-Hop group with a blend of contemporary R&B, Soul, and Jazz grooves, making them a one of a kind. The group’s sound and style is a unique in comparison to such groups as Slum Village and Tribe Called Quest. The group consists of multi-talented individuals: Sylvester “Equal” Jefferson, Daniel “Lykewise” Nevarez and Thomas “ClassiQ” Smith. The trio was formed when Lykewise and Equal had heard Classiq’s lyrical delivery one day in an informal battle and took interest and invited Classiq to be apart of the group. The rest is history in the making. The groups responsibility is to revive what seems to be dead to many which is the overly commercialized sounds of Hip-Hop. The tag line used by the group is “Underground is the New Mainstream.” With giving much respect to those pioneers before them, The Brothers Next Door continue to reiterate the importance of Hip-Hop, speaking on positive yet realistic issues in the music.
