About me: What is a life of answers if there are no questions!
I'm an artist, film director, screenwriter, writer and poet on the threshold of a passion that is my vision. How better to express this passion than through a moving, ever changing, visual, audible, visceral medium. Now I only need to discover how, and when. But that's part of the journey isn't it...
As for influences, there are too many to mention, though they stem from all and any diverse medium, from light and space, from colour and shade, from tone and rhythm in all music, from nerve-wrenching or spine-tingling guitar and percussion, from the voices of Lisa Gerard, Robert Plant, Andrea Bocelli and the beautiful and yet awe inspiring Filippa Giordano, from the guitar of the three J's, Jeff Beck, John Simms and Jim Barber, from the thundering beat and pulse of the late and greatest drummer the world ever saw, John Henry Bonham, from everything I see and hear, but mostly from within, from the emotions and rush of life, of love, and not least... of loss. Everything I create is born of the love of my family, friends and loved ones and is in tribute and unashamed love of my father Dennis who died last January. May the love and light of the universe watch over him.

Footnote: Film makers, Producers, production crew, creative talent, writers, artists, musicians, film buffs, et al, are all welcome to introduce yourself. As they say, you never know where an opened door leads. And we do all need a little help and inspiration from time to time.
Who I'd like to meet: As an independent film maker, writer, director. I'm looking to make contact with like-minded individuals, especially Producers, Actors, Cinematographers, Crew and Storyboard artists, who may share this passion for film in it's purest sense. I'm currently working on the second draft of a couple of features, I'm trying to get the storyboards finished for a film short/one hour TV pilot, and most importantly, trying to figure out how to raise the funding it will take to bring my vision to the screen, be it large or small. I'm also writing the first draft of a book and compiling a book of poetry that is soon to be published if all goes well.
On a lighter note.
In an alternate universe, I'd also like to sit at dinner with Ridley Scott, Alfred Hitchcock, Grace Kelly, the three William's of whom for time shall never be forgot... Shakespeare, Blake and Yeats, and last but not least, Jerry Bruckheimer. We'd talk about the utopian impression of the nineteen fifties, discuss Blade Runner, Vertigo, the classics, art, why great writers and artists have an overpowering passion for the muse, debate whether Reservoir Dogs could be considered a contemporary Greek Tragedy, how Q seems to have lost his way... well he has. And we'd talk about birth, love and death.
And then I'd ask Jerry Bruckheimer if he remembered meeting me in Dublin and more importantly, if he would finance my next movie (Well, at least I'm being upfront and honest about it.)
