Here’s a really interesting sermon on the difference between “Godly regret” and “worldly regret” for those of you who want to look further into our discussion tonight. He uses some “big words,” (and, yes, I know it’s from 1984…before any of you were even thought of, haha!) but it’s definitely worth listening to all the way through! ;D
Hey Ladies! Tonight’s meeting ended abruptly, so I wanted to leave you with this last thought: Regret is a good thing bc it shows we can recognize the sin in our lives, but that doesn’t mean God can’t turn our bad choices around for His good! It is never good, however, after you’ve repented, to repeatedly go back and dwell on those sins. God has forgiven you of your past and you should rejoice in the fact that you have been set free of those burdens! So, if anyone ever tries to make you feel bad about sins you’ve been forgiven of and have turned from, just tell them that God has separated you from your sin “as far as the East is from the West,” Psalm 103:12. :D See you in a few weeks--bring your questions!
