Hailing from Auckland City, New Zealand, In Dread Response are a Melodic Death Metal quintet, that have earned their title as the fundamental flag bearers of their genre in NZ over the last few years.

Formed in 2005, In Dread Response set out to create an ambitious amalgamation of Doom Metal, Thrash, and Death Metal, with a dark, dynamic atmosphere, and epic cinematic qualities. These elements, in combination with a highly energetic, aggressive and somewhat violent theatrical stage presence, this band makes sure to raise the roof at every venue where they perform, whilst carrying the stadium sized dual-harmonic leads and facemelting riffs that effortlessly build a wicked soundscape of huge proportions.

Attracting a loyal fanbase both in Australasia and abroad, IDR have gained popularity through word of mouth, an inescapable promotion by their personal army fondly referred to as 'The Dreadstorm', and an endeavouring kinship with all groups they've shared the stage with.
