Nobody knows at all, Nobody shares in my passion Neither does she, The one I dream about I don't need pity, I only need your compassion It only hurts timelessly, Day in and day out When she walks by, She's only a ghost She's such a pleasing aroma, An orchard bliss I've figured it out, I'm self diagnosed Fill my prescription, Bless me with a kiss She's all that I see, She's never around I'm invisible to the wind, But upon it she soars I've figured you out, I am confound I hit to my knees, My face soon pours My heart speaks to you, It is so mute My eyes listen to you, They are not deaf For here I am, To this spot I take root Your music plays softly, Note the alto clef Shall we dance tonight, This endless cease May we have a first, Played in constant loop God grant us serenity, Without disturbing the peace Today let it materialize, Please do not dupe I want her to know, Induce her to block out What I did so wrong, I never caught her eye Whisper my name, To her I'll be devout Love me forever, She need only to reply .. .. _________________________________________________ ___________________________________________________ .. .. .. Another POEM: Stirring Within- By Rob Lawson The monster within scratches at the door, Where it came from is quite the mystery, Someone somewhere planted the seed, Sometime in my short history. The feeling of misery burns down deep, An insatiable hunger to devour my heart, To take away the souls shining light, Creating anger that’s off the chart. To free the behemoth is such a crime, To give in to the blitz of unruly conduct, Would lessen me amongst today’s society, Bringing with it a bomb of self destruct. The hourglass is showing almost complete, He’s making ready for his eventual escape, Drafting the schematics in permanent ink, Eager for the plans to take full shape. The feeling of horror drawing closer to me, Running scared around the bonfire at night, Sending distress smoke signals high into the sky, The surge of his power gaining new height. To the sky arms reaching outstretched limits, Forgiveness is wished upon the soul, The fighting comes awfully close to the end, Hard fought but nonetheless it’s taken it’s toll. The Beast from within breaks out to the open, Roarin’ loudly clamorously across the plateau, Fear ripples out towards the masses around, Terror fills his eyes with such an electric glow. It all ends in with a silent bang from above, Light rains hope forgiveness and beautiful love, The beast is shrunk into a tiny ball of fluffy fur, A quick thwart from the holy father above. The beast returns to it’s resting spot within, No doubt planning it’s next escape plan, But I am quite in awe at the marvel shown, Onto my knees now rests this man. Hope brings forward the ability to stand, Forgiveness brings me the strength to fight, Love brings such warmth that I show no fear, New beginnings Stirs my delights. Today I stand ready to make change, To imprison the demon outside of habit, Allow life to be honorable amongst all, And to take great leaps like a soldiering rabbit.
