in Po'Shines : Cafe De La Soul // believes that some of the most important conversations happen over food. Be it in the kitchen, at the dinner table or at a restaurant, food and communication go hand in hand. During these conversations there are often great revelations, conflicts or lessons learned, but our question is - do these experiences continue to effect us after the meal is thru? Our mission is to create an environment where food can foster conversation, and where conversation can turn into life application (change). We want to open a dialogue that can create a strong community and empower individuals. By using contemporary soul food, we dare our patrons to appreciate the comforts of soul food while contemplating it's origins, meanings and true representation of sustainable living.
