FOR BOOKING EMAIL US AT 29Mules@gmail.com What is the sound of the 29 Mules? Some call it Garage Country - Fusing Southern Rock and Outlaw Country with Psychobilly and Americana Roots. .. The 29 MULES have a raw, riotous, soul-filled sound that is dynamic and high-energy that gets the crowd on its feet, rushing the stage and packing the floor swinging, jumping & stomping. You will get sweaty with us since our music will get your feet a moving across that dance floor!!! Songwriting duo, Casey Cannon & Xavier Gonzalez met in Los Angeles while working at Guitar Center and instantly connected upon discovering they both had roots in Texas and the wilds of the Mojave Desert. They grew up listening to Waylon, Willie and Johnny Cash, and after playing around in the rock and punk scenes, they drifted back to their roots. The boys cooked up a swampy new sound and the 29 MULES were born kicking & screaming into the L.A. Country scene. Casey & Xavier are the heart & soul of the band while the many All Stars that play in their rhythm section keep their music always pumping with originality. Some of the All stars are: legendary drummer, David Raven (Keith Richards, Norah Jones, Carlene Carter, Social Distortion), Swedish born, Johnny G (Griparic) (Slash, Carole King), Dave (Hillside) Spangler on Harmonica & Ted Russell Kamp (Shooter Jennings) on Bass. The 29 Mules have broken genre boundaries and have gained a global following. Their new CD "80 Feet Deep" is a worthy, unabashedly ballsy follow-up to heir first CD, "No Rules for Mules," both of which are receiving airplay throughout the US and Europe. The band has toured with Stoney LaRue, and have shared bills across the West with Robert Earl Keen, Hank Williams III, Bruce Robison, Asleep at the Wheel, Ryan Bingham, Delbert McClinton, Shooter Jennings, Stonehoney, Southern Culture on the Skids, Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash, Lucinda Williams, Shurman, Los Duggans, Throw Rag, Guana Batz & many others. They have made a major contribution bringing Country back to the Southern California scene with their popular Wednesday night hootenannies at Ireland's 32 in the San Fernando Valley. From corporate shows to Texas honky tonks, the 29 MULES always leave the crowd hollerin' for more! 29 MULES spent the last year working diligently on their new CD, "80 Feet Deep," and performing at numerous shows. They are currently busy recording their next CD – "Damn This River" - and touring & rocking the Southwest! *29 Mules have also been featured on the Sin City Social Club's compilation CDs.* They have plenty of original material & also have no problem doing covers if needed or requested by the fans. Their songs mix it up from Country to High Energy Outlaw. They currently have 3 songs on Outlaw Radio on Sirius, "Get Behind the Mule" - "Old Blind Dog" - "Fort Worth TX". SOUNDTRACK CREDITS: "Wake" - 2009; "Walking Tall" - 2007; "The Clan" - 2005; "Legend of Bloody Jack" - 2005 -
