Two Buck Chuck is a powerful acoustic rock duo consisting of two amateur bodysurfers: Jonathan Brooks and Baines Kinnison. Every show is a pizazz filled extravaganza as the band focuses mainly on "deep cuts" from 70's, 80's and 90's pop and alt-rock. Jon and Baines met online while seeking bandmates for potential music projects. The duo hit it off quickly in may 2007 and began to perform all across the hampton roads region. The "Two Buck Chuck" name comes from a wine label called "Charles Shaw" and is nicknamed "Two Buck Chuck" for it's super-low price tag. Jon introduced the wine to Baines who ran right out and quickly enjoyed a case of the fine spirit. Two weeks later the guys had their bandname. Baines is an experienced drummer and solid songwriter who's worldbeat influences and solid pocket keep the rhythm factor in check. He's been a familair presence in the Hampton Roads music scene for more than 14 years. Jon is a talented and souful singer-songwriter who moved to Virginia from California. His soulful voice and vocal energy have helped to catapult the pair quickly into the cream of the crop realm of the local, acoustic music scene. Two Buck Chuck has made a powerful mark on the Hampton Roads music scene and continues to pour cool vibes and good times.
