We were in the studio yesterday.  We recorded our 'fastest' song yet. A soaring sports anthem.  As the project's end nears the butterflies in my stomach are only getting bigger. LOL.

I wrote this song inspired by the Martin Luther King speech protesting US aggression in Vietnam. It was written in a Jazz Gospel style for my Keyboard student Mark Miranda in order to give him a practical lesson in the 12 bar blues and improvisation.

Mark joins me along with my guitar student Joanita Fernandes on bass and Kixmet's drummer Leo on Drums. We performed at the Annual Day Concert of our music School in February 2012.

I teach music so I could quit my day job as a Dentist and focus on music a 100%.  It gives me time to write and practice.

My student Frida decided to learn guitar so she could pass time as her daughters took their violin lessons at our school. She was sold on the idea of playing slide after a small demo during a class. Here she plays one of my compositions. The composition was inspired by the old guitar she's playing - an old guitar unplayable with the fingers but the high action beautifully suiting the slide. The song talks about the need of the human consciousness to break into song despite the trials of life like slavery.
