Bio:

2-DAYS AWAY the ultimate duo….with just the right blend of pop, R & B ballads and Rock n’ Roll hits, they play the music you love and find yourself singing along to. Plus originals that show the influence of the “classic” hits of Elvis, the Beatles, the 70’s singer-songwriters and one-hit wonders. This band is all about vibe and being laid back with fun banter that includes the audience.

Becca’s voice is loaded with feeling that seems drawn from some deep inner place and Ken’s finely-tuned tenor is the perfect compliment to hers. Together they will keep you entertained.

2-DAYS AWAY came into reality in February of 2009 and has been making audiences smile ever since.



ABOUT BECCA:
Becca Danielsen is a singer-songwriter from the greater Sacramento area. She's a folk-rock and jazzy kinda gal. Weaned on Beatles music on the radio and then later on the Monkees on TV every week. She pestered her folks for a guitar but having 5 siblings, a guitar and lessons were a luxury they couldn’t afford. Eventually Becca got a guitar and lessons as an adult.

Becca has performed in various bands here in Sacramento. Her most recent band -The Delta Breeze Band was classic rock and alt country. "I really learned to sing in that band.... I had several mentors in Delta Breeze that really helped me grow as a musician and singer. She adds, "But now my energy is all on my duo with Ken".

Becca is currently working on her first studio album/CD with Ken Koenig as producer. However, the song “Something Right” on our play list was produced by Stan "Stainless" Brown. Stan also played lead guitar on this song along with Steve Caretto on bass and Mick Malaney on drums.



ABOUT KEN:
Ken Koenig is a singer/ songwriter/Guitarist and recording artist from Sacramento California. Ken has been playing professionally before he was even old enough to be in bars! Ken Started off playing For Ron Friel, Elvis Presley Impersonator back in the mid 80's. Through the 90's Ken focused on his Songwriting and released a Cd in 1997 under the band Daze Of Green.

Ken has won a few small song writing contests and was selected in the top 3 to open for The Dave Mathews Band. In 2008, Ken Released his first Solo Cd, "Bring It Home" with many great reviews and Major local air play. Ken continues to play all over with his band "Ken Koenig and The Band" and as a solo artist. In late 2008 Ken Met Becca Danielsen and the two hit it right off, realizing they have the same taste in classic rock, folk music and song writting. Their Collection of songs is a great mix of cover tunes that range from the 60's to now with both adding originals. ..
