FOOD NETWORK FOLLOWS “TWO DUDES” COOKING IT UP IN HOLLYWOOD
Chefs Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo Featured in the New Primetime Series
“Two Dudes Catering”
Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo are two young renegade chefs who play by their own rules in the big time world of Hollywood catering. Food Network pulls back the curtain to take an insider look into their crazy culinary world in the new Food Network docu-series Two Dudes Catering. Premiering Tuesday, October 16th at 10:30pm ET/PT, the half-hour primetime series follows the “two dudes” and their eclectic crew as they continue to build a name for themselves in Tinseltown.
“Jon and Vinny bring a youthful enthusiasm to the world of food,” said Bob Tuschman, Senior Vice President, Programming and Production. “We’re inviting our viewers on a behind-the-scenes look at the struggles and victories that young chefs face when establishing a business in the culinary world.”
In Two Dudes Catering, Jon, Vinny and their offbeat crew embark on a variety of adventures in catering, as they pull together amazingly delicious dishes that stand out as much as their personalities. Whether they are frying up some comfort food at the ESPN X Games or carefully preparing scorpion fish sushi for a high-end Malibu beach party, Jon and Vinny go to great lengths to ensure that a Two Dudes party is unlike anything else that Hollywood has ever tasted.
Jon and Vinny are native Floridians, who met while attending school for Culinary Arts at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In their early careers, they worked in numerous famed kitchens including southern Florida establishments The Strand restaurant in South Beach, Mark’s, Café Maxx, The River House and The Wildflower Restaurant in Vail, CO. Jon and Vinny eventually landed in Los Angeles where they worked at the Chadwick Restaurant under well-known chefs, Govind Armstrong and Ben Ford.
In 2004, the duo started their catering event company - Carmelized Productions. They have appeared on shows such as Food Network’s Iron Chef America and been featured in The New York Times, City Magazine and Paper Magazine. The culinary duo’s first book is set to release in Summer 08' and they hope to open their first restaurant in Los Angeles in the spring of 2008.
