Whether it’s the intricate acoustic guitar accompaniment, the powerful baritone voice or the well-crafted down-home lyricism that has gathered audiences for almost 10 years, one thing is for sure; Eric Richards has people listening. Having spun a sonic web that clings to the acoustic innocence of James Taylor, yet captures a poignancy that recalls Townes Van Zandt, Eric has found his way into the hearts and minds of acoustic music fans everywhere. Aside from faithfully reproducing some of the most well regarded songs of our time, Eric Richards is emerging as a well- respected songwriter in the Minneapolis music scene.
A Minnesota native, Eric began singing in community choirs at age 5. By the age 13 he had already felt the lights of Orchestra Hall, Northrop Auditorium and the Ordway Theater. Two years later, Eric bought an old classical guitar and took some lessons from a local teacher. After displaying the aptitude and dedication, Eric was encouraged to pursue music as a career. In 2007, Richards graduated Cum Laude from the University of St. Thomas with a degree in guitar performance. By applying classical elegance to a rugged Folk/Rock tradition, Richards is bridging a gap few dare to traverse.
Recently Eric went to Nashville and teamed up with producer Lonnie Ratliff. His self titled debut EP is slated for a mid-summer 2008 release.

I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time a few days ago. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a new tune called Run Bobby Run:
CountryHome Forum have more than 5,000 members. Each news you submit to CountryHome Forum will released to my weekly Newsletter with more than 50,000 readers.
Please submit your artist news and events to CountryHome Forum to help your artists to get well known better in Europe. If you do not have the time to submit your artist news and events by yourself, please send it me to: Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de and I will submit them by myself to CountryHome Forum.
I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.
I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.
Thanks

Whats going on? Ok so my debut album is coming out on JUNE 30th!!!!!! and I wanted to make sure and remind you to mark your calendars for the day! I'd really really appreciate if you'd pick one up....I promise you'll like it haha. You can get it on iTunes or CDBABY.com WOO!!! Dont be a stranger :)
Blood Root Mother will be playing at Trocaderos in Minneapolis on Friday, June 26th. I cannot stress enough how awesome this show will be!! We're playing with three of the sweetest local rock bands: Claret, Niobium and Casanatra. If you haven't heard these guys, check them out immediately! Please come to this show!!
I recommend stopping by during happy hour for two for one drinks along with free buffet, which is delicious. We'll be hanging out at Trocs all night, so come by and chill/party with us :)
Again, here's the event info:
Friday, June 26th Trocaderos 107 3rd Ave N Minneapolis, MN 18+ // $6 // 8pm
Please come out and support some great local music!! Music starts at 9:30pm, we should go on around midnight. Invite your friends, pile into a car (or a party bus), and together we will make this one of the highlights of the summer :)
Tomorrow Thursday May 7, 2009 Iron Horse will be hosting a Music For Food Benefit Drive at Wyatt Earp’s 7550 Hwy 10 Ramsey MN 55303. The benefit concert starts at 8:30 pm; there will be a silent auction with all the proceeds from the auction going to the ACBC Anoka Food Shelf. For every dollar we earn they are able to distribute nine dollars in food items to families in need. Local businesses have donated vouchers for services for the auction and these items will be on display for your bidding pleasure.
Also there will be a food collection point for all the non-perishable donations. Last year the food shelf distributed over 300,000 pounds of food to families in need and they had a demand for twice that amount. So we are asking for can goods, dry foods and other non-perishables to help the food shelf meet the growing demand of families in need. There is a list of items they need below.
We realize many of you have to work Friday and we join you in that quest each member of Iron Horse will be reporting to their jobs on Friday morning with a heart full of knowing that they helped a good cause. We ask that you come even if just for a short time. This is for a really good cause and it will help so many families. Families of people you know or someone in your family may one day need the help of the Food Shelf and what we collect on Thursday may go a long way in helping them.
Please don't forget to publish your country music news and events to CountryHome Forum. Each news and event published to CountryHome Forum will go to my weekly newsletter with more than 30,000 readers.
Warm regards
Christian

Ashleigh Still is our Captain, Nick Hensley will be in goal, Jeff Ray glides, Joe Carey looks like he picked a fight, but mostly he picks the guitar. Ripping great show with lots of surprising guests. Hope you're there. Mar 2, Kitty Cat.
