J. Silverman began her career in 1999 when she ended up with her first guitar. "Music was not something I pursued," she says, "it found me." Teaching herself to play from a borrowed book, she began creating melodies that mirrored her writing. Six months later, the Washington State native found herself on stage at the Music Festival of Sandpoint as the opener for The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Her set also marked the debut of Change Of The Season, her first release. She draws influence from many different artists from the 60's, but her biggest musical influence comes from her own family. Her identical twin uncles, who are working musicians in the Seattle area, would settle in around the campfires of her youth. She writes music with a focus on intimate, earnest and sentimental lyrics. “I hope to inspire growth and encourage awareness,” she says, "It is important to me to free this feeling of fear that can stops us from making our lives successful and restoring the child inside of us all who dreams about a life where they feel fulfilled.” B.Silverman (a pupil of Santana bassist Tom Rutley), is the recording engineer of Change Of The Season and all of the duo's following recordings. Born in Detroit during the height of Mo town, Ben has been a musician since the age of 10, and has played in countless music groups from jazz bands to stand up bass in The Big Band. He, too, was on the Festival Stage the same year as Julie opening Ingram & Lindley with a latin band he was play with at the time. Mostly known for his oil paintings which he has been producing for the last 30 years, he creates brilliant detailed urban scenes with a hint abstraction. The two began performing as a duo in 2002. The name, 2FOR2, began in reference to their live shows at the time. They would play two original songs followed by two cover songs. In 2004, they married and Julie Gwyn Stone changed her name to Julie Gwyn Silverman. Together The Silverman's are putting the finishing touches on their fourth release which is close to it's final stages.
