20-year-old Alex Hudson is the man behind 2nd2last (Second To Last); a guitar-driven pop punk project that brings together heartfelt, emotional lyrics and powerful guitar riffs. As a talented multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Alex has proved himself as the epitome of the hard-working musician. This hard work and ambition has enabled Alex to achieve a professional sound, despite many line up changes and problems with uncommitted band members.
Since the age of 14, Alex has been obsessed with music, making records and performing live. With such energy and talent, its safe to say that Alex is well on the way to widespread recognition. After 2nd2last completed their self-titled debut EP, they developed a strong local following after touring throughout the Midlands, which then quickly spread further a field. The band even managed to blag their way on stage in front of a sold out Birmingham Carling Academy, where they rocked the stage with their idols New Found Glory in 2005.
In August 2007, Alex teamed up with producer Iain Wetherell (Fastlane, Viking Skull, Raging Speedhorn) in Corby, Northampton, to record his second EP, Words Of A Broken Heart, with Alex playing every instrument. This new EP showcases the diversity of Alex's music and oozes energy and confidence. Slated for release in March 2008, ‘Words Of A Broken Heart’, will be the CD that will introduce the world to the edgy, and upbeat sound that is 2nd2last.
