  • Bio

.. .. .. .. .. .. .... Past: The 2nd II None outfit are made up of a duo of producers, with their love of music firmly set on dance culture from US Garage to full blown UK sounds. They are feeding their imagination from all soundscapes, energised from the pure love of UK sound. .. .. Randy had spent much of his adolescence DJing US, UK Garage. Moving to London at the age of 17 he was hooked on the UK G sound and never looked back. Having scored plays with big names such as EZ, Heartless Crew, Tim Westwood, along side MC Dappa, MC Rolla, MC K.I.D, MC Trix & Vix (Drunken Squad), he was well renowned for his fast, tight mixes keeping his MC crew the on their toes. .. .. 2nd II None starting producing (even though late to the circuit 2003) made an impact with their debut release on ROAD RECS (Ammunition) following up acts such as DJ Shorty, Menta and Plasticman and making their own mark on the scene with DJ EZ lifting them to new heights when adding their track "Signal" to his Breaks, Bass, Beats 2003 compilation which gave them the buzz to strive forward and continue with their own sound. .. .. Always being influenced by alternative and new musical conceptions 2nd II None began to veer toward the dub step sound being heavily immersed with sub bass pressure and the minimal escape. .. .. Totally self taught 2nd II None continually developed their own sound and production techniques using both software and hardware to build their own hybrid sound building the gap between Garage, Grime, and Dub Step. Rossi B & Luca took a elevated interest in their diversity and brought them on board to the A.R.M.Y militant beatz label, and now Heavy Artillery (strapped with beatz) providing a range of music for the tech-breaks, dark garage, and dub step heads. Having many fingers in pies is what these guys do best! .. .. Present: 2nd II None have had scores of dubs played by the likes of Hatcha, Slimzee, DJ Shorty, EZ, DJ Tubby, J da Flex, Rossi B & Luca, Riche Vibe Vee, DJ Pinch. Also setting off releases for the likes of Plasticman, then following up with their own "Subterranean" EP on A.R.M.Y recs consisting of tracks made for all bass line monsters. .. .. The long awaited release on Heavy Artillery is finally being pushed by all the major players, with such tracks as BMW canned on BBC 1xtra and the highly sort after Waterfalls, having plays on BBC Radio 1 and championed by acts such as Rossi B & Luca and the mighty DJ Pinch. .. .. With nights such as Forward>>, DMZ, and club Native being a main stay for their genre of music and the aid of Mary Ann Hobs (Radio 1) meeting music heads a like you can always hear their dubs being rinsed by the dons on the decks! .. .. ..
