Bio:

Irfan Hasan aka 2ND GENERATION is a Dubstep and Drum & Bass producer originally from the suburbs of Croydon – the ‘birthplace’ of 2Step/ Dubstep. 2ND GENERATION has been producing for the past 8 years and has released two darkside Drum & Bass singles, Murderous Rage and Drop The Truth, under the pseudonym The Sith on Soothsayer Recordings, Atlanta. Citing influences as varied as Aphex Twin and Talvin Singh, The Prodigy and Tech Itch, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and A R Rahman, 2ND GENERATION spent many years as part of the Trouble on Vinyl/ Renegade Hardware crew learning production techniques and gaining knowledge from other producers which led to experimenting with sounds from different genres. Forming The Sith with fellow producer Conspiracy led to a darkside collaboration with Andy Skopes on Murderous Rage and Drop The Truth in 2007. By 2009, 2ND GENERATION decided that he no longer wanted to limit his knowledge of synthesis, processing sounds and structure to Drum & Bass and started producing sounds that combine all his influences and put an experimental slant back into Dubstep/Electronica. He is most interested in making music that of a darker and more experimental nature...
