  • Bio

Tom and Brian both hail from Baltimore, MD. They were friends in Baltimore in 1989 and have re-united in Seattle 20 years later to make music together. They both write songs, play guitar, and dabble in various other stringed instruments. Brian had a band for three years in Seattle. The band was called Armadillo Borealis and can still be heard at www.armadilloborealis.com. Secondhand Sunday plays some of the same songs as they are all originals written by Brian. People who have played and sometimes still play with Secondhand Sunday include Paul Hutzler (lap steel), Chris Quirk (drums), Ed Hodge (bass), Jon Pontrello (banjo, accordion), Johnny Ramsdell (harmonica), Gar Hooker (bass), Taraji Belgacem (backing vocals) on the CD, "Previously Loved," and hopefully many more as the days go by. Marina Marioni did the artwork for the CD, "Previously Loved."
  • Members

Secondhand Sunday is currently Ed Hodge on bass and backing vocals, Tom Humphreys on guitar, mandolin, vocals, and backing vocals, and Brian Straub on guitar, mandolin, telecaster, vocals, and backing vocals. Tom, Brian, and Ed share songwriting duties.

Cale, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Rolling Stones, John Hiatt, Tom Waits, Townes Van Zandt, Billy Joe Shaver, Willie and Waylon, Hank Sr., most Bloodshot Records artists, Lynyrd Skynyrd, CCR, and countless others. while not commonly understood by the unclean masses
secondhand sunday's grit and vigor is the stuff of historic proportions
and should be revered as the true source of musical and religeous inspiration
