On August 13th, 2007 Tom sent Geoff an e-mail asking if he was available to play a couple of gigs in October that Tom’s regular band, with the exclusion of Alan, wasn’t available to play. They had already enlisted Chris, so Geoff would be the last piece to put into place. From the first practice they all soon realized that the potential for this line up was very promising. The first gig was a Birthday party in Sterling, VA for a friend of Alan’s who later raved about the band (as did everybody else there). “How long have you guys been together?” “Oh, about a month.” “NO WAY!!!” Gig 2 was Tom’s high school reunion where they played to a ball room full of people after being introduced by none other than Steven Tyler of Aerosmith via video recording!! Since then, 2nd Sole has played in the Virginia and Maryland area to all new and devoted fans. The response from the audiences has encouraged the band to continue to look for new venues to expand their audience exposure. If you want to hear some great rock and roll performed by seasoned players who really enjoy what they do then 2nd Sole is for you. Come see for yourself! .. Influences
We've been Monkeying Around in the music business for 30+ years. We found that there wasn't much Peace, Love or Understanding until we Rambled On Southbound where we met a Black Magic Woman that was very Hard to Handle. That Brown Eyed Girl took us Down To The Water Line and brought out that Old Weakness. Only You Know and I Know how Real Emotion can make you Knock On Wood. Thank goodness that Dr. Robert had come in on a 747 to help us Let It Bleed. He told us to Get Over It. But she was Already Gone. Oh well. Another Fine Day to Drift Away. We suppose it was Only Natural.
