2PLUS CHANGE.....Husband and wife team, Vicki and Rick, share the change brought about by God's love as they present their original music and words under the name "2PLUS CHANGE". Vicki writes songs that express this process of change through God's love and mercy. "Because God "so loved the world"......in sending His son Jesus to rescue us from sin and death...we will forever praise Him!" (Vicki & Rick)................Believing that "funny" can drive a point home, some of their songs come from the "comic side" of life........"Remember that laughter is all it was meant to be...good for the soul, and a gift from God!"........................................................................................................................................................................................................................ A CHANGING MOMENT....."Sitting backstage in a studio in California...waiting for our 90 second shot on the NBC television show America's Got Talent...my heart was changed..... My husband Rick and I had auditioned some months earlier in Boston Mass. for a chance to compete and perform on America's Got Talent. We had prepared an original song for our 90 second audition called "The 90 Second Song...You're Gonna Miss Me Honey, 'Cause I'm Goin' Shoppin'!" We auditioned in costume, from our family vaudeville/music show "Vic and Sticks"...got interviewed...and were told we would not hear if we had made it for at least 6 months. So we went back home and tried not to think about it....but deep down hoped we had made it!... Well, six months later we got the call...were told we had made it to the Hollywood auditions...booked a flight and headed out to California! ...and now there we were, sitting backstage waiting for our 90 seconds to perform in front of millions!...As we were sitting there, listening to the folks before us...hearing the boos...the awful sound of getting the dreaded "X"...and then hearing the unkind words from the three Hollywood judges, my heart sunk (I really mean this!) I felt a little weak in the knees and thought "Oh no...we are about to go out in front of the world and be humiliated." ...As I sat there and looked at my husband Rick (who had the same blank stare on his face as I did!), I prayed... In that moment everything became so clear to me. I really "heard" the Lord in that moment...not with my ears...but within myself....I had never heard Him so clear. What I heard was "Is this what you want.....or do you want what I have for you.".. I said "I want what you have for me God." ...and right there and then the panic left me, and I knew peace. ...Our name was then called and Rick and I went out and performed. We did a great job...had fun...and got the "X"!... We were then told by the judges that we should be on "HEE HAW" and that we would never headline Vegas (which was cool with us!).....I will be forever thankful for this experience because it "set my eyes on things above" and showed me where my value is found..in God alone!...Thank you Lord!"
