i'm a sound engineer, producer, and amateur photographer and graphic designer. i have been recording "ambient" music for over ten years, though that genre's boundaries are now hard to define. 95% of the sounds i use are created using just the bass guitar. i use a sampler, and not synthesisers, to try and create drifting soundscapes and landscapes - places we don't often visit - some "dark", some not. my influences are not taken from the musical world, but more from the world we live in.
some of my work is available for download from www.atmoworks.com
----please also watch this short film by scott derby-webb - accompanied by my track "still falling".
still falling
holding on - letting go Comes bundled with a set of original and exclusive artworks created, and donated to this project, by the artist and designer stephen spera (see sample strip below) making this an almost unique package of art and music - both describing a personal journey through time.
the 4 albums above can be downloaded from www.atmoworks.com for $4.98 (US). That's only about £2.50. click on the link in "band website" on the left of this page. that will take you straight there.

Hi Peter! I live in NYC and heard your music through my friend in Glasgow. I have started always coming to your site when I am meditating, so thanks for the add! I know you have some of this stuff on CD in (much) longer form, perhaps I can talk to you about buying some for those of us on this side of the Atlantic?! Thanks for music. KB
Hi Peter, quite enjoyed "a wish for the well" - like you said, a bit raw, but nicely done! Especially liked the serene ending. Hope you can get this out soon, I think it will go over well. Best, Greg
would love to hear the whole thing! was on the bus to Belfast today and was listening to 'The more i look the less i see' again... such an amazing album, it really sang with the passing view of the countryside.. a reminder of why you're one of my favorite ever ambient artists! chat soon, g
