2Storeys is an original four piece Ambient-electro (and sometimes a little Reggae) Glasgow based group. Starting as an instrumental band, the group quickly expanded to include Angie's vocals and has a sound that has been compared to bands like Massive Attack. The vibe combines a big dose of mellow samples, several late nights in front of pro-tools (thanks David!), solid groves and catchy melodies. Band members have brought together their playing experiences to create subtle layers of different musical styles defining the unique feel and tight sound of the band. The line up is vocals, guitar, bass, drums and of course Mr sequencer/sampler/laptop. With a set of songs under our belt, 2Storeys plan to concentrate on gigging accross the UK and hopefully beyond in 2010-11. The poor sound quality could not hide the fact that these guy’s are highly capable musicians delivering a clever blend of jazz melodies with laid back cool grooves. If the suggested forthcoming album is anything like the bands live delivery then it will be worth waiting up for.
