Tim is a real, authenticated Texas singer-songwriter, although he's spent a good deal of time in New Orleans, playing with Dave Sharp & The Hard Travelers and as a solo artist. He didn't leave his heart there. He actually FOUND it there, pulsing with the beat of Satchmo and Jellyroll, Dixieland and Zydeco, The Meters and that old Gris-Gris, and buzzing like a hundred neon signs or, if you prefer, a hundred drunks stumbling down Bourbon Street. The Great Adventure of Etc. Etc...took our boy from the 504 (as the homeboys call it) on a MUSICAL trip to Sligo, Ireland and back into his beloved Lone Star State. Nacogdoches, Texas is where he once- not too long ago- owned and managed a Music Hall called the Out Of The Way Cafe. He also started his first band, Rise & Run, there. He reckons that on most days, he'd rather be in Austin.
Tim is of the opinion that the music should do the talking, but here are a few more facts that the music may or may not divulge:
He was born 13 days before the JFK assassination, which makes him a Scorpio. He and his wife LEELA are the proud parents of MOLLY GRACE, who was born on the First Day of Spring, 2001, and JACKSON DYLAN, who was born on July 7, 2006. He loves Sushi and a pint of Guinness. Bodington's if that's not available. Current favorite CDs: Ian Hunter's "Shrunken Heads" and Mike Farris' "Salvation In Lights."
Favorite movies: Two Lane Blacktop, The Missouri Breaks, Lost In Translation.

Hello, it's that time of the month again when we add more lovely music to our site. This month's happy foursome are The Barker Band in wistful mode, the summer of love-ish Old Californio, the anything but summer love-ish Christopher Rees and, wait for it..."Travelling Salesman's Young Wife Home Alone On Christmas In Montpelier, VT" from Casiotone For The Painfully Alone, which evenr if it was rubbish (and it's not) just had to be included for the names alone.
Itâs that time of the month and our site has four new tracks up for your listening enjoyment.
This monthâs box of delights include the swaggering groove of Blackie & The Rodeo Kings, the insanely catchy folk-pop of Antje Duvekot, the languid Great Lake Swimmers and, a little belatedly but better late than never, The Young Republic.
A particularly strong month, even if we do say so ourselves. Check them out, you won't regret it.
