  • To whom it may concern...

    Current mood:lonely

Well, things didn't turn out quite as I had planned down here in Florida.  Things kinda got quiet for one reason or another, and I guess (from what I was told...) it was my fault.  But that is a story for another time...  As it sits, I am heading back up to New Hampshire.  My time down here is done, but I do have to say...  I love the Daytona Beach area.  There is an over abundance of things to do on any given night.  I am staying with a co-worker for the moment, and he lives right off of International Blvd.  (right across from the Daytona Speedway)   The guys I work with at Sound Crafters have done just about everything in their powers to get me to stay. (thanks guys... that really does mean a lot to me)  They have gone as far as telling me that they would match any offer I could possibly get back  in NH...  but to me, this aint about the money, it's about getting that feeling of family back again.  I love this area, I love my job, and I love the guys I work with, but they can't give me back what was taken away from me so very abruptly.  I need to get that feeling back, and down here...  I am missing my friends and family.  Although my co-workers have tried to make me feel at home, it just aint the same.  So, I bid good bye to the Daytona area... and slip quietly into the night, back to New Hampshire.

As far as you Daytona Beach, FL...  we will meet again.  Oh yes...  we will.

  • As some of you may know...

I just recently moved to Florida.  It was a long drive, but I made it and with only a few tears shed.  But over the last 2 weeks, I have been looking and looking for a job.  I submitted my resume to nearly 30 different places, and I finally had an interview today. The place is Sound Crafters.  They are a very well known car/home audio/video store located in Daytona Beach. (I know...  pretty rough, right?)  Anywho, I start there this Friday morning.  I think I will be fine, but I have always hated starting new jobs. If you want to look them up, check out www.soundcrafters.biz  They have had some really nice cars/trucks come out of the install bay.  Very custom stuff too.  Not to mention, they have had their fair share of celebrities come in and drop some pretty big bank on custom shit.  I can't wait to see my first famous person.

This job came right down to the wire.  I am almost out of money here.  Eventhough I lost my debit card about 5 days after I got down here...  I was still able to write checks to get cash.  lol  but gas is a bit more expensive here then it was when I left NH.  I am paying $2.28/gallon on a regular basis.  Much more then the $1.99/gallon I paid at the Getty in Rochester Saturday b4 I left.  About another week without a job, and I would have had to pack it in and head back up there to NH.

Anyways, in conclusion... thank you to all that have called me to see how I am doing.  I love each and every one of you guys.  For all of you that are wondering why I did it, rest assure...  this is something I had to do.  Being born and raised in Rochester,  and barely ever going outside of my comfort zone...  I had to get away, even if it is only for a short time...  or if it's for good.  I needed to get out and grow a little bit.

I plan on heading up to NH for Christmas, but that still depends on this new job.  If they will let me take time off right away... and if they do, will I have enough money saved up to go...  only time will tell.

I miss everyone of you and I will see you sometime soon.  I promise.

  • Sanford Sound show...

    Current mood:good

I wanted to start off by saying, YEAH... I got my truck washed by some hooker/stripper... and it was AWESOME!!   Second off, there were a lot of pretty nice rides there.  Although, I am not really into all this import wars shit...  there were a lot of damn nice cars.  To everyone that came up to me and asked question after question...  keep those questions coming, 'cause car audio is a dieing hobby.  The more people into it, the better it gets.

To all you guys in Velocity and 180... you both have some pretty nasty cars, keep up the good work, and keep things positive.

    PEACE OUT CUB SCOUT!
