Sound Sketches is 2x the Mono's second release, an experimental electronic album featuring Randell Neudorf using his Micro Korg Synth/Vocorder, Omni Chord, and Roland Drum Machine.
This album was started as a way to burn off some steam while Randell was going through some stressful times. He would come home turn on the Micro Korg and let the improvised sounds and melodies wash away the tension. A couple months later there was a full album of new material.
Randell hopes that you find these tracks as meditative to listen to as he found them to create.
Wow! great rock-out on we need a little magic! and my first listen is too lofi for lofi -- with one channel crackling at concession library. Can't wait to hear the track in proper 2xthemono (ie stereo). Hope you can join us on stage next tuesday at the casbah for the Young and Sexy show.
