 3000 Records
is an independent Record
Company. We are not simply about big money, or exclusive contracts. This doesn't mean that we are
against these things. Money is nice, and sometimes exclusive contracts are
necessary, however, the main goal is to simply help Bands and Solo Artists
gain recognition they deserve. A more accurate definition of 3000 Records is "an organization that operates as a shared
record label." At this time we mostly release Co-Op CDs. We promote music to college radio, independent radio,
satellite radio, internet radio, and magazines, along with other creative
avenues of music promotion.
 We hope to eventually
be able to invest in and "sign" select talent, and be an avenue for Bands & Artists to move
on to bigger labels. Until then, we are focusing on our promotional projects
"Indie 360", and
"CD Register". With these projects, we give Bands and Solo
Artists
exposure to the masses. This is done by building connections with music
industry contacts and offering this label as a service for musicians and by
musicians. We believe in dreams becoming reality, and making that happen with
hard work and dedication.
The first Co-Op CD was put together in
Kalamazoo, MI with flyers and word of mouth. "Actually, after losing a
promised spot on a compilation (Co-Op), I decided to start up my own." The
first Co-Op was a real struggle, and it's still not easy. It is still
very rewarding though. Here it is 9 years later, and Bands and Solo
Artists
from around the world are gaining recognition with 3000 Records.
The
company was started by a musician, naturally! Terrance (www.terrancedamian.com)
started his label back in 1996. He released 2 "EPs" so far, and
is currently working on a full length CD to be released October 6, 2007!
