Hey All,
Just finished watching a thing on TV about how censorship. I dont understand it.
This was pretty USA style but it does pertain to Canada too. I will be short with this rant. People in the USA, like the FCC are trying to ban swear words such as Fuck, Cunt, Shit etc. They have a law in which people can be put in jail for breaking an "indecency law" which involves swearing. Personally, I don't think any kid in Canada or America is gonna grow up without hearing the word Fuck at least once.
The only thing you hear is, "Oh my God, think of the children" or "we do this for the innocence of the children". I would like to see a scientific study done that shows, if a young child is exposed to excessive use of swears such as fuck, cunt, shit, bitch and ass, that they will grow up to be violent, gangsters, drug lords or just any criminal for that matter. Therefore I don't understand this whole, "protect the children" bull-shit that I keep hearing.
The countires of Canada and especially America have it written somewhere in some sort of constitution about free speach. Any country that has to set laws based on language used, has to censor words is not a free country at all. The fact that they are censoring words is what creates rebelious behaviour and the desire to use the words as strongly and frequently as we do. If they were not such fucking pricks about the matter then I am sure that the use of the words would not be as severe or commonly used. I fail to see how hearing or using the word fuck or bitch or cunt is going to negativley effect a childs growth and development. The issues that are going to change a childs growth and development are birth defects, how the parents treat the child (abusive etc), how well protected a child is from drugs and their knowledge. An abused child will certainly have a harder time growing up and wanting to become an independant and well established, law abiding citizen. A child who has done drugs at an early age is surely more likley to grow up to be an ass hole due to the effects of the drug on the mind. A child who choses to not gain knowledge through school is certainly more likely to grow up to be a gangster, thief, ass hole or homeless person. Someone who uses the word fuck or hears the words fuck and shit are probably not going to change a whole lot. I am sure that they can be just as successful as anyone else because the words do not destory the brain or affect a child as dramatically as child abuse, drugs, alcohol and lack of education will.
That is all I can spew for now....its all that was on my mind. Maybe I will add some later.. .Hope you all like it.
