General
I am indoor and outdoor. I surf, backpack, box, was a competitive wrestler, (more, but later), workout, write, read ALL types of books. Love cooking, sharing food. Going out, movies, staying home, cuddling in front of a good movie, or the fireside... I am an animal lover for sure. Dogs, cats, almost any animal is cool with me. Being centered in who you are is always great. Sometimes being a little 'ditzy,' is also cool. Into cooking, working out, doin life, love, the spiritual side of things. I believe it is important to know the importance of staying in shape mentality and physically, and actually do something physical. Maintaining good physicality will greatly enhance the quality of one's life as the years advance. I especially like petite women, though this is not written in stone. Romance is food for the spirit and soul. Along with that, being a good kisser is a must :)
Music
I love, and play the blues... from the Mississippi Delta, to Rock styles, Chicago, Texas and West Coast Swing. My Band rocks out, and we love playin. We have a keyboard player (Hammond organ, piano), who doubles on Sax, a Harmonica player, myself, and bass and drums. Usually, I have a guest guitar player sitting in on our opening set. We have a lot of sound on our stage.
My heart is into playing the Blues, but I'll listen to most any type of music, Classical, to Country, R&B, even Opera.. It is all in the moment and the mood. Rock is played more on the top of the beat. Blues has a 'retarded' feel in the groove, and that just gets your body moving, and feeling...... even when the solo or rhythm is searing and fiery, the accents groove behind the beats. As simple as the art form is, it is difficult to play well. It truly is an art unto itself. There are a lot of cool rhythms in the Blues... like. Rhumbas and Mambos... each of these are played in varying ways, and can be very different and not sound alike even when played back to back. When people come in who are not familiar with blues, they are usually surprised at the variations we play, and power and passion we play it with. I play guitars from a L 7 Gibson, 1962 Strat, 1947 National non pedal steel, 1970 Harmony for slide awesome slide sound), a Dobro, to my custom wound pickups in a black Les Paul, which can be toneful and smooth or cut and scream in front of the band. My speakers are 1947 - 1949 D 131 F, JBL, and 1960 D 120 F Orange crate Fender... great sounds through matched custom wired 1980's vintage Music Man amps.

Movies
So many... I LOVE MOVIES!!! From high tension political thrillers, Action adventure, Comedies, Dramas, Romance, tear jerkers, Classics... just about everything. This is an entire conversation in itself. It would be nice to share this with the right person, for sure.
Television
Not too much... History channel, discovery, Law and Order, NYPD, others which fit into the above genre. Even though I don't get into much TV, still I am totally open to what others cre about. Sometimes we may not be able to get into a show... but if we see it with someone else, we tend to see it from the other persons eyes, and what not may be a good experience on our own, can be great with the right person.
Books
Many, and many types. From Historical studies such as 'Cruelty and Civilization,' the Roman Games, to Scifi, like Herbert's 'Dune,' and 'Heinlein's 'Stranger in a Strange Land; to Bertrand Russell's discussions on philosophy. Robert Ludlum, Ian Flemming... Joke books... bio's, history, whatever. If it is well written, thats what is important. Have not gotten to romance novels, though I did take a stab at writing one.

About me:

.. .. The song on this page is done by me at on of my Blues Jams. - Disclaimer: This ain't a band profile... it's covers me, the person, and the player.* To begin with, I am a single father. What a way to learn more about love, than to have to teach by example, and be at the proper times, both the strong disciplinarian, and morph to the softer side. It's been an ongoing education! (As an aside, some have interpreted this to me as weakness for a guy. Stupid isn't it... fu..k those who don't get it - period). I am also lucky in that I get to do things I love to do and get paid. Certainly music is huge... it's as much me as anything could be. I also work with my body; I train others in a mind body connection and integration aspect of movement. I have traveled internationally and performed seminars for this specialized training. Something along the lines of ChiGung. Writing is a large aspect of my creativity. Songs, poetry, and long form writing as in stories and screenplays. Songwriting is blues and blues based, strong in the grooves and lryics. Emotionally solid and stable, but NOT impersonal, I am a total romantic. All of the cliche stuff, thinking inside and outside the box. Moonlight walks, holding hands, quiet candlelit dinners.; yeah I'll cook dinner as well. Affectionate, not afraid to show and accept emotion, I maintain the belief that the poet warrior can still live in todays society. Honesty, integrity, strength, internal and external, mind and body. Spirituality is essential, and while we do not have to believe in all of the same things, mutual respect and acceptance is essential to a healthy relationship. Sharing time, space, and romantic love can be ongoing for all the years of one's life - if the partners can work through the low parts. No relationship is always going to be a bed of roses... low periods happen to everyone. When commitment is accepted, the intimacy can be profoundly deep, loving, and the relationship solid, bulletproof so to speak. This takes special people. Today, it seems far too easy to cut and run when things are not smooth. Real intimacy requires more... perhaps a degree of self discipline. On the back side of the years together, this can be amazing... imagine being in love over a lifetime. ..

If you sing or play the blues, we'll have you come up and sit in with us. We do this every week from 8PM to Midnight or later Info on Blog. I enjoy creative people who think out of the 'box.'
