   About 300FT GORILLA

Inventive guitars, soulful vocals, and a tight and precise rhythm section that has been honed from years of live work, 300ft Gorilla are a Newcastle and Glasgow based band who take their many influences - Living Colour, Fishbone, Kings X, Janes Addiction, Alice in Chains, Prince, Francis Dunnery, Red Hot Chili Peppers - to create an outstanding and completely original sound.

The album Gorilla Tactics was released in 2007 to excellent reviews.

"They have the ability to mix and match pummelling grooves with easy hooks to impressive effect" Kerrang

"They play very well and they've got a knack for turning good riffs and melodies into good songs." Sound on Sound (CD of the Month)

"Creative songwriting, precision playing and a hunger you can hear in practically each of the album's 16 songs." Sea of Tranquility

Now 300ft Gorilla are back in 2009 with a harder edged, more energetic, raw and direct sound with their new EP release "Better Life". After a summer of extensive live work, the band are continuing to gig in support of this new release. We hope to see you there.

Well as the saying goes.....good and bad luck comes in 3’s!!

I’ve seen two awesome bands this year....not many I know, but I’m really looking forward to the last one of the year 2009.

That’s the 300ft Gorilla Christmas gig.

Alice in Chains was a dark deep experience, one that took me back to times of a frustrated youth. Where everything I felt was raw and honest! Then there was Depeche mode which was so bloody excellent it was beyond living in the moment. I was moved in ways a woman coming into and leaving her prime only should!! The finally this year is left in the hands of the one who’s voice blows me away in every way possible!

I was asked today what my favourite sound or noise is and the answer which came from nowhere deep or intellectual but more knee jerk was Hutch.

Thanks for supporting Soul Destruction. We are now booking gigs so if you like what you hear, get in touch.

Described as: 'like Soulfly if Trent Reznor were part of the band,' their debut album "There's No Profit in Truth", mixes the pent up frustration of acts such as Rage Against The Machine with the raging, highly charged riffs of classic Machine Head. Good, honest, politically aware and highly charged Metal at its best...

Cheers for that dude, nice one! Well, we are planning a Scotland tour in Nov/Dec, and we may just do a few shows in the northeast... i mean, why deprive you of such an awesome night, lol! ;-) we would love to chat more about support slots, we are always open to make new friends :-)

Best bet is to send out management (Hard Hit Productions) team an email and they will take it from there, out of all those venues, which would you realisticly go for?

Stay in touch guys, keep up the ace work!!

Hey dudes hows tricks? Thanks for accepting us and for extending the warm welcome - everyone has been so supportive since the move from Oslo to Manchester and it makes all the difference! loving the tunes here guys - cracking stuff!! :D

We would love to see you and rock your face off at one of our shows one day and toast our newfound proximity - maybe gig up on the Northeast, what venues near you would it be easiest for you and your mates to get to as and when we swing by your way?

:-) Hope you like the tracks, which would you say is your fav? Basically, if you would like us to play more near you then we can work together and capture the dream - please feel free to download our tunes from our iLike page and just tell everyone you know about Daddysmilk, play us in the car, at house parties etc! Its people like you that inspire us to push ourselves further, forever and unrelentlessly onwards :D

Hope your well, big love from your new favorite Mancunian Anglo-Norwegian band ;-) lol!

We're stopping by to say a huge Thank You for being a member of UK Metal Underground.
With so many friends it's hard for us to get to know everyone, so we're taking time out to leave you a comment and ask that you stop by our forum to introduce yourself or your band so that we can meet you and get to know you better.

If you've not stopped by our myspace page lately, then we have interviews with My Dying Bride, Band of the Month Features, Reviews and Directories for Bands, Labels and Gig Promoters and much much more....Hope to speak to you soon!
