The band was started in the spring of 2005 by longtime friends John Donadio and Stan Esposito. The idea of the music was to be instrumental and experimental, and in the vein of a loose jam band. Even non musicians would appreciate the interesting songwriting and our focal point. After the first few pieces were worked out, we knew who to recruit for the drum chores. Longtime friend and seasoned musician Paul Dirito was our first choice. It took just one rehearsal with Paul and the band became a trio. In the next few rehearsals we wrote a lot more ideas and started to mold our sound. We decided to go into the studio and record these ideas while they were still fresh. During the last couple of jams at Electric Blue Velvet Studios, which is run by Stan's younger brother Steve. Steve began to sit in with us on the Hammond B3 Organ. Right then is when we knew the band would expand to a four piece. The organ and Steve's writing style gave us the unique edge, and the final piece of the puzzle that the music needed. 300stars line-up had now been completed.
The five pieces of music we chose to represent us were accurate to where we were at that very moment. These pieces were beginning to bloom during the recording process. The versions of these songs as we play them now, evolve a bit each time we perform them. Our energy and chemistry is continuing to grow.
