Lover & Fan of Videogames, Cartoons & Comics in general -except the cases indicated in Television-; plus of for guilt of the TF Movie of 1986 Optimus Prime -I never do say only "Optimus", so overseid / overplayed / overexposed / trite currently- almost everybody cried him and, since certain mangas of early 90s and "Beast Wars", appeared in all the TF versions, aside of Megatron, as if no have any new leader adequated instead -and alomost nobody claim the presence of his original fellowing Autobots in the mentioned stories, until now, inclusive I doubt that the presents ones in the cast of new Movie being the same ones, and no, worst, with TF3: DOTM, very disturbing, worst for a children franchise (And where are the parental guideline in this case?)-; and didn't will accept that, for example, Prowl, Ironhide and Silverbolt (TF G1) would converted in Maximals according with the current comic IDW; and, excuse me, I'm no so "pro-yankee" by suporting, by example, "G. I. Joe", in its work of interventionism in foreign (Iraq), plus of the inestability of feelings (relationships) of Scarlett in the cartoon comparating with the original comic (Anyway, in the cartoon DIC finished equally She with Snake-Eyes, as Marvel in the 90s; then, why all happened with Duke is inexistent?), althought some characters of there are also my favorites: Duke, Flagg and villlains as Serpentor.... ah, I love the 70 & 80s, but not the dirty, terror and sad merchadising, series or movies (Soon I will continue progressively in fix & complete the profile with more information & some pics, so as I will can eventually) Collecting of the cited series: chapters in Video (DVD), figures & dolls, toys (figures, cars, displays), comics & other merchandise, as these ones of famous franchises of diferent genres until the "prodigious" 80s; info magazines as "Wizard".... Playing Video-games, as the first "Mario Bros." and "Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout"; and specially "beat'em up", of these series: "Simpsons", "X-Men", "Amazing Spiderman", "Asterix", "Captain America & the Avengers", "Bucky O'Hare".... MySpace Layouts |__________________________________________________________| The Starscream of the Transformers: Armada (Micron Legend in Japan) universe was notably similar yet different from his G1 predecessor. Like him, this incarnation of Starscream loathed his commander, Megatron, but not out of any desire to take command of the Decepticons - simply because of the sheer mistreatment and contempt Megatron heaped upon him. Another notable difference between Armada Starscream and his G1 predecessor was that this Starscream was a formidable warrior, never shying away from battle even when the odds were against him, while the G1 incarnation was a coward. He possessed a rivalry with Hot Shot and later information would credit him with the severing of the Autobot Red Alert's hand. He also possessed a samurai-like sense of warrior's honor and he transforms into what resembles a Sukhoi Su-35. It is often thought that the inspiration for his character came from the Beast Wars-era Maximal Dinobot, who also defected from his initial faction, the Predacons, out of contempt for his universe's Megatron, possessed a code of honor and died a hero while gaining redemption. In his original body, Starscream transformed into a jet, armed with twin null laser cannons activated by his partner Mini-Con, Swindle (Grid in the Japanese version). In robot mode, his left wing transforms into an energized sword blade, which he wields expertly. |__________________________________________________________| Starscream is disillusioned by his leader Megatron. It took a while for Starscream to come to grips with Megatron's faults, but there's no turning back. Megatron doesn't respect him, doesn't appreciate him, and would casually toss his life away if it got him something he wanted. If following Megatron is the school of hard knocks, then Starscream is the valedictorian -- but not without a few scars. He may have once been compassionate, he may once have known what true friendship is, but all that has been replaced, scab for scab, with the lessons of Megatron's abuse. |__________________________________________________________| Starscream originally came to Earth Accompanying as part of Megatron's expedition to gain the power of the Mini-Cons alongside Demolishor and Cyclonus. However, Starscream's frustration over deliberately having been made the last of the Decepticons to gain his partner Mini-Con. His resentment and hatred of Megatron made him a chink in the armor of the Decepticons led him to be easily exploited by the manipulative Sideways into battling with Megatron, which he promptly lost. A short time later, Starscream was given ownership of the Star Saber as part of a scheme by Thrust, acting under the instructions of Sideways, further exploited Starscream by making him the patsy in his latest plan to steal the Requiem Blaster from the Autobots. And allowed to run riot to draw the Autobots out of their base, but was This led to him being abandoned on the battlefield so that the other Decepticons could invade the base and steal the Requiem Blaster. |__________________________________________________________| Surviving to return to the Decepticon base, He went on a rampage with the sword and disowned the Decepticons, siding up with the wary Autobots, not out of any desire to do good, but out of sheer hatred for Megatron. After a clash with Hot Shot and a trip to Mars with Jetfire, Starscream befriended the Autobots' human allies, particularly Alexis, and then gave the Autobots access to the Decepticon base, resulting in a raid that freed all the captive Mini-Cons. His defection was not without difficulty however; he constantly clashed with the Autobots over morals and battle strategies. Nonetheless, he proved to be a capable and, on at least some level, willing Autobot. |__________________________________________________________| However, Thrust (himself being manipulated by Sideways) then approached Starscream, toyed with him planting seeds of doubt in his mind. This eventually caused him to steal the Skyboom Shield from the Autobots and return to the Decepticon fold (for a chance to defeat Megatron by working from the inside), giving the Decepticons possession of all three Mini-Con weapons. |__________________________________________________________| As Megatron readied his new super weapon to attack Earth, Starscream began to suffer a serious moral crisis. He had returned to the Decepticons but he still viewed those he'd left behind on Earth as his friends, and was torn between following orders, and a desire not to harm them. At times he found compromises, for instance, as Prime led an attack to stop Megatron using the three Mini-Con weapons, Starscream, currently battling Jetfire, spotted one of the Decepticons sneaking up on Prime. He then attacked Jetfire, allowing himself to be thrown away, and collided with the Decepticon who would have attacked Prime. Subsequently, He was among the Transformers injured battling Nemesis Prime, and who then received power boosts from their Mini-Cons. He gained a new, blue coloration that he commented made him look like his contemporary, Thundercracker, with disgust just dripping from his tone. |__________________________________________________________| Returning to Cybertron, He pursued Thrust into the depths of the planet when the turncoat tactician revealed his treachery by stealing the Requiem Blaster and Skyboom Shield. He took a fatal shot from the Requiem Blaster as he battled Thrust in the subterranean tunnels, but the Mini-Con High Wire used his powers to restructure the timeline, saving Starscream (and throwing the human kids back in time, and.. well, it's confusing). Thrust escaped and delivered the weapons to Sideways and his master, Unicron, presently disguised as Cybertron's moon. Following Thrust through a warp gate and briefly reuniting with Alexis, He entered the belly of the beast along with Hot Shot and Wheeljack, but the unlikely trio were stymied by Unicron's internal defenses and failed to stop Sideways from using the weapons to begin Unicron's reactivation. |__________________________________________________________| Galvatron (the renamed Megatron after the Mini-con power boost) was unwilling to acknowledge Unicron's threat, however, dismissing it as an Autobot trick. Starscream, however, knew the threat was real, and that only united under a true leader like Optimus Prime - whose strength of character and nobility had touched Starscream during his time with the Autobots - could the Transformers hope to stop him. Unwilling to betray his leader, Starscream decided on a new course of action. To show Galvatron the error of his ways, he challenged him to a duel in which he allowed Galvatron to run him through with the Star Saber. Galvatron realized what happened and demanded to know what possessed Starscream to do such a thing. |__________________________________________________________| Starscream told him that he tried to gain Galvatron's respect, but nothing was ever good enough, no matter how many battles he fought, his leader always found fault. Optimus Prime treated his men with respect, and was thus a leader of integrity, unlike Galvatron. But that didn't matter anymore, and after tearing the Star Saber out with his bare hands, and then turned his firepower on Unicron. Unicron promptly obliterated him, proving to Galvatron that the danger was real. When the dust settled, Galvatron stood reflecting upon Starscream's last words, and as a gesture, handed his enemy the Star Saber. Unfortunately, Sideways ran off with it two seconds later. But it's the thought that counts…. His final action saved everyone and made him the only incarnation of Starscream in the various Transformers universes with a good heart in the end.
