sleeping. cuddling. and Other dogs... world domination.. Orfeo is Italian and means : Orfeo ~ Male ~ A name from ancient mythology. The Italian form of Greek Orpheus meaning "The Darkness Of Night". Orpheus was a Greek poet who charmed Hades with his Lyre in an attempt to rescue his wife from the underworld. ( the Darkness of night, Of the Shadows and A Dark past are all definitions for my name. ... here is more about my name...: In Greek mythology, Orpheus was given his lyre by Apollo himself. Trained by the Muses, he developed into a musician so talented he could literally move mountains with his song. When his wife, Eurydice, died from a snake bite, he refused to accept her fate. He descended into the realm of the dead to win her back to life. Hades and Persephone, hell's royalty, were so moved by his music that they consented to Eurydice's return on the condition that Orpheus precede her, and refrain from looking back at her until the end of their journey. The tragedy of his gallant failure (as retold in media ranging from poetry to grand opera to film) has moved worldwide audiences throughout the ages.

About me:

I am about 6 months old and I am a rescue dog - I am blue and white and I am an Italian Greyhound - I was raised in a puppy mill and my life was horrible... I was in this puppy mill in Texas until I was adopted by my "new family:...(They had me for for 7 days before surrendering me to the Italian Greyhound Rescue - because Their other dog hated me.) they had a crazy chihuahua that attacked me and he was mean to me and hurt me... Then they gave me up. They dumped me just like that and suddenly I was homeless.. So I was placed with the Italian Greyhound Rescue. they were very nice to me and provided transportation to my new dog home, with Austin Hammons - my new dog Dad. The Italian greyhound rescue traveled 6 hours to get me to my new home....I was shy at first but am becoming a part of the family. My roomies Wes and Lisa walk me when my Dad cant and I am adjusting to my new lifestyle very fast. I can Sit Lay down and Stand up already and I am getting better every day at going potty outside...NOT inside... I am a lapdog. I like to sit and stay. I am submissive and a little goofy cuz i am so young but dad is already working on my social problems towards people and cars cuz of my lonely past with little human interaction. ..
