Born/Resides: Calgary, Alberta Canada Short Bio: Bret is one of 12 children of Stu and Helen Hart. Bret's father Stu ran the Dungeon Training center out of the basement of the Hart's home and Bret and all of his brothers learned to wrestle in the Dungeon as kids. Bret attended Ernest Manning High in Calgary. He was a very succesful amateur wrestler, but Bret never had any intentions of ever becoming a profesional wrestler. Bret than attended Mount Royal College for one year. Then destiny called for the "Hit Man." Bret's father Stu needed some wrestlers for his Stampede wrestling promotion, so Bret began training with the guys, and before long Bret was a professional wrestler. Bret made his pro debut in 1976 for his father's Stampede Wrestling. Bret took the "Hit Man" name after boxer Thomas Hearns lost to Sugar Ray Leonard. Then Bret began to wear sunglasses in his interviews to hide his nervousness, but eventually that became part of his wrestling gimmick. Bret eventually joined the World Wrestling Federation in the 1980s and then in 1997, after 14 years with the WWF, departed the WWF for World Championship Wrestling. Over the course Bret's 20+ year wrestling career, he won basically every single championship there is to win in the business Major titles won: Winner of the first pay-per-view version of the WWF King of the Ring Tournament (1993), 2 time WWF Tag Team Champion with brother in law Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, 2 time WWF Intercontinental Champion, 5 time WWF Champion, 2 Time WCW Champion, WCW Tag Team Champion (w/ Goldberg), and 4 time WCW US Champion.
