The guys in the band have been playing in bands in Buffalo for years. Some of the bands they have been in are: The Hitmen, Mick Hayes Band, Universal Grill and countless others. The Kings of Gonzo started with the idea that most rock cover groups in the area play close to if not the same songs in their sets. Being that most of the band grew up in the 90's era where rock/alternative music flurished, they decided to play some of the great lost music from that era. You wont hear Brown Eye Girl, Disco, or any Southern Rock, but what you will hear is: I Alone by LIVE, The Bends and Talk Show Host by Radiohead, 1979 and Cherub Rock by Smashing Pumpkins, In the Meantime by Spacehog and Bound to the Floor by Local-H. The Kings of Gonzo will also play some of the earlier music that inspired the bands of the 90's such as: The Who(My Generation) The Clash(London Calling) and Pink Floyd to name a few. So if you grew up loving that music and have a taste for something just a bit left of center come on out and ROCK with the KINGS!
