Stars and The Sea is a three piece rock band with post-punk influences from Baltimore, Maryland. Stars and The Sea was formed in 2008 by guitarist/vocalist Shane Gardner with later addition of drummer John Leatherman and Brian Ison Bass.

Stars and The Sea presents an enticing blend of gothic-drenched post-punk rock & roll with lyrics that are melancholy as they are romantic, as sweet and saccharine as they are bitter and black.

Stars and The Sea's influences are a mix of Bauhaus, Peter Murphy, Iggy Pop, Jeff Buckley The Church and AC/DC Their sound is described as a mix of post punk and British influenced Rock.
