About me:

Hi my name is Tim Laughlin, I come from an area rich in the heritage of early country music and traditional bluegras music, Bristol Virginia and now reside in Bristol Tennessee with my wife Cyndi and our 2 dogs Boofer and Barney Fife. Since starting my career at the age of 8 I have played extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, including Germany, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, England and Scotland. During my career I have had the privilage of playing with some of the greatest in bluegrass music, Lynn Morris, Jeanette Williams, Hunter Berry, Dale Ann Bradley, Jim and Jessee, Larry Sparks, Hazel Dickins, Bobby Hicks, Phil Leadbedder, Mike Bubb and many many more. I have played at the world famous Grand Ole Oprey at many occasions with different bands. When Doyle Lawson was recovering from heart surgery I was honored to play mandolin with Doyle's Band Quicksilver. When I am not on the road, I love to go jam with the local musicians and also play fiddle with a local band called Duty Free and play fiddle with Appalachian Trail. I have filled in for alot of bands when needed and when I am available. Hoping to do my part to continue the tradition, I give mandolin and fiddle lessons in my home.
