I enjoy a nice story, a sappy movie, and anything my children can conger up between the time they wake in the morning until I crash into bed at night.
Music
I have a wide variety of tastes when it comes to music. I will listen to Stone Sour and then listen to Louis Armstrong. I let shuffle rule my life.
Movies
I watch anything the kids haven't watched over and over and over and over and over...are you seeing a pattern yet?
Television
As I don't get the remote control, I watch what the kids want to watch but I will hunt down the remote for shows like Numb3rs, all of the CSI series, and Old Christine. Now that I have the stupid upgrade so I don't have to switch to dish, I enjoy watching PBS Create. I know I will probably never make any of the dishes prepared on there nor will I ever do any of those crafty things from the shows but can't a girl dream.
Books
I will read just about anything you put in front of me.
Heroes
I don't have any heroes. For one to have heroes is an opportunity to be let down by yet someone who can't fulfill a promise. No heroes, no letdowns.
About me:
Since this is at the top of my profile and tells everything anyone wants to know about me I guess I will put a few things out there first, before you read my likes and dislikes and get all happy about getting to know me. First thing...I am a single mom, and not any ordinary single mom, I have four kids, all who live with me full time, 24/7. I don't get out of the house for a good time so, no, my phone isn't ringing off the hook. I have three boys and one girl who are the light of my life. No I didn't lose them, give them up, or have them taken away by anyone, not even their own father. If you have ever seen us you would know that...(yes this new profile is a little self serving for all of those who read these words and were wondering about the validity of the rumors you have heard, so please by all means, tell your friends and anyone else you know so I will again feel comfortable showing my face in town without feeling I need to rip the face off of the next person who makes a comment, points or stares at me)...
Who I'd like to meet: I don't know that I would like to meet anyone special. Well actually I would like to meet someone special someday, but not today and not on here.
I have met many people who are famous (since I think this is the idea) they just never met me. My friends have a problem with introducing me to the people they know and they know some VIP's.
I would also like to include in this section a list of people I do not want to meet. I do not want to meet those people who have a closed mind to any aspect of my being. I have enough people in my own personal space and life who cause me enough distress on a daily basis that I do not want to seek it on here. If your only intention is to attempt to convince me that I am very wrong and am going to hell or that I am not a good parent or that I am a liar or a hypocrite, please do not waste your time or mine. I know and am comfortable with myself and do not want to be bullied by anyone who is not face to face with me.
Also on my list of people I do not want to meet are those men whose only interest in me is getting into my pants. No one really wants that and I do not want the nasty case of crabs, genital warts, or whatever std you got from your last girlfriend or one night stand. I am not easy and have never been, hell I have a hard time getting into my own pants, so there isn't room for you in there too.
