Bio
"One of the best new wave/pop/dance bands going in San Diego today, 321 Stereo turn out amazing tracks that while all thoroughly modern, all sound like they have been influenced by the best of the 80's hits, mixing dance and new wave, synths and shufflebeats, particularly effective on lead track "Take Me Up". To my ears the closest benchmark would be Scandal, but any classic early eighties MTV wou...ld fit the bill. Indeed, this group appeals on so many levels, from electronica to powerpop, their music touching on a lot of pop culture sounds. Take a listen to the instrument placement and arrangements as well. This is really well put together with the production working to bring out every nuance of melody in the songs. This demo did something that rarely happens anymore. It made me leave my computer and head out to see them live. Glad I did - I can't wait to hear the full album! ***Postscript: I just received a new EP with remixes of "Take Me Up" and "Tell Me" + new tracks "Promises" and "If You Fall" - all superb!" - Bart Mednoza – San Diego Troubadour "FYI Column" - December 2010 Part 80's Dance, part Electro Pop, part Alt Rock and all Party – 321 Stereo has arrived, with no plans of leaving any time soon. The group stormed the scene back in 2009 and immediately set ablaze a fresh, fun, and infectious sound that leaves their audiences wanting more. As evident by their nominations at the 2010 and 2011 San Diego Music Awards, 321 Stereo has established itself as one of the premier pop groups in Southern California. They have had the pleasure of playing alongside such greats as Eddie Money, A Flock of Sea Gulls and When in Rome at various venues including the House of Blues, Anthology, Whiskey a go go, and recently the San Diego County Fair. The San Diego bred band captures the essence of the carefree, no worries, party rock attitude that "America's Finest City" is well known for. With a group that resembles the United Nations more so than your typical rock band, 321 Stereo features quite the refreshing line up as they all hail from very diverse backgrounds. Their current release is a 4 song demo, with the planned release of an EP by the end of summer. 321 Stereo is made up of Aubrey King (Lead Vocals), Patrick Dela Cruz (Drums), Jennie Ortega (Bass), Raj Rajasingh (Guitars), and Allan Celio (Keyboards) FOR BOOKING INQUIRIES PLEASE CONTACT LAUREN RUGGLES AT LAUREN.RUGGLES@GMAIL.COM OR CALL 760-672-3403 -
