Young Blue was born Tyrone James Johnson, July 30th 1986 in Oakland, California. After being abandoned by his father at nine months, his mother moved him along with his two younger siblings to Chicago, Illions at the age of ten. Being raised in a single parent household and moving back and forth from California to Chicago, Tyrone grew up a leader and trendsetter as an imaginative child. After finding an interest in Music at a young age, he discovered his creative skills and a love for beats. It didn’t take long for him to develop a passion for music. Growing up listening to artists such as Michael Jackson, The Fugees, 8 Ball & MJG, UGK, Timbaland, Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G., and tupac he memorized every lyric from top to bottom, along with every melody.
At the age of thirteen after taking a trip back to his hometown, Tyrone was convinced to help produce a song for his uncle Dejayson "Jay" Boyd, who was a local producer in Oakland. After that day Tyrone knew he wanted to produce hip-hop and R&B instrumentals. Tyrone Decided to move in with his uncle for the summer to help produce a album for a local artist. The neighborhood wich he lived in was corrupted in gang violence. Tyrone got his nick name from local gang members who called him Young Blue.
At the age of sixteen, Young blues uncle Jay was murderd forcing young blue to move back to chicago to his mother and began investing money into his own studio. By the age nineteen he began working closely with local San Diego producers and close friends "Chicago" Beard and Carter McGee. While working with artsit such as 2xl, Bodaga, and jafree young blue was introduced to Tommy Boys CEO, eventually landing him a major deal. After working with Tommy Boy Entertainment for two years, young blue was handed yet another major deal with warner brother records.
Now at the age of twenty one, Young Blue started his own brand of music creating Young Blue Entertainment. His leadership skills took effect when he created a team of artists and producers under his label including local artists Zeek and AE.
Tyrone is the best! Lol ya'll stupid as hell if you dont love his music! He is sexy, smart, and will definitely be the most accomplished person in the world. All because he knows what he wants and goes for it!
