    Although I'd rather ditch the brain sucking television set, I am hooked on a few things that keep me hanging on. Bill Maher. Grey's anatomy. The office. Ellen. Six feet under. Blue planet. Pretty much anything on the history, national geographic, or discovery channels. Despite my greatest efforts to convince myself that these shows are merely for my sons enjoyment ... The upside down show, Sesame Street, The Backyardigans, and Pinky Dinky Doo. :)

  • Books

    I enjoy reading a variety of genres and always have a few books in the works. At this point I've become more familiar with children's authors however, when I do have that last 15 minutes to myself before crashing I'm probably reading something on spiritual awareness (Deepak Chopra, Carolyn Myss), non fiction (on any topic of interest ie: Russian Tortoises, green living, biographies), best sellers (Mitch Albom, Alice Sebold, Dan Brown), classic, beat generation, poetry. I love anything David Sedaris, Water for Elephants, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, The Vagina Monologues, He's Just Not That Into You, etc etc.

About me:

I've been told I have an old soul. I'm down to earth. I'm passionate. I journal. I sing in the shower. I sing in general. I enjoy whole foods, organic cooking. I'm loyal. I like to stay in my pajamas and run around singing "toddler hits" with my little boy. My days with him are always an adventure, a lesson, a gift. I must eat dark chocolate regularly. I love elephants... they have an awesome sense of family/community, an incredible memory, are extremely affectionate, and are even said to be good luck. I have a strong desire to communicate the importance of peace and non violence, community, consideration for our planet and all of it's inhabitants, and overall openness. Maybe one day I'll open a cafe / community center in the Reading area (a place where it is truly needed) that will encourage people with similar passions to work together in creating a better world. I am incredibly grateful for my life's experience and for whatever is yet to come.
