Mélanie S. must have read the Bible or maybe she sat in a café in a big city to watch cars/people/dogs speed by. She must have thought that maybe the time had come to take a bit of time -indeed to take time back-. To do that she chose the art that requires the most patience, needlework, the art of slowness and waiting, of woman at the window who wait for their man to return. She collected tetimonials, reflections, thoughts, of authors, some well known, others not, because time, in the end is the same for everyone. She embroidered words on photos as everyday warnings not to waste time on useless activities, to give the right value to every single minutes because it can be worth a whole life time, and above all attain an individual and measure of time. Maybe it is inevitable that we acknowledge how much the technical dimension of modern life has attacked the rythm of our lives in the name of an absolute present that is even more threatening. But it is not inevitable to give up.
