Many people, places, musician and bands have had a significant influence on my life. In fact the number is so significant that this page couldn't contain it. Chances are if its really good music I'll try and spin it. My fambo has always been a big influence. All you Terra's out there have been some of the biggest influence and you know who you are. DJ's worldwide and many even here in the 505 have turned me on (& off lol) of plenty of chunes. The places I've lived such as central and northern Cali, Australia, T-dot, Van City, The city of subdued excitement in Washington and of course Nuevo Mexico. Always seeking more so turn me on to something good.

As one of my favorite authors Edward Abbey has said "life without music would be an intolerable insult". This is how I've felt from a young age. I was fortunate enough to have had access to an amazing classic rock and other styles of music at home (which I've since inherited) when I was just a lickle youth. This led to me going to my first concert when I was 10 with my uncle. I then got interested in many different styles and started searching beyond the household collection. I started listening consistently to reggae when I was 10. In high school I went to my first Grateful Dead show. It was music that I was raised listening to that I didn't even realize till I went home and noticed it in the collection I listened to when I was younger. I ended up touring around the country with the band and getting to see a lot of the country. I also ended up meeting many peeps of different faiths and learned plenty on the road. Through connections on tour I ended up in Canada and came close to becoming a Canadian Citizen. It was then my first son was born who still lives with his Madre up in Quebec. He's an amazing young man now who I hope to get dj-ing soon. I then spent some time in BC and Washington and exposed to some really good live reggae (Twinkle Brothers, Ijahman Levi, Ras Michael, Mutabaruka, etc..) Met my wife to be in Washington and moved to New Mexico for what was to be a winter at a permaculture farm. I'm still here and have 2 more sons now. Getting exposed to more music by the day. My middle son Zion is always making me proud by not only being an amazing skater but also a great dj (top friend check him out). The youngest is still a baby at this point but shows the same interest as his big bro. My lady Crystal has always been into music too and for years revolved her business around going and vending at shows to be able to see some of the best music that is out there. She has always been supportive of me and my musical interest. Oh and don't let me forget to tell you she's smoking and she's mine, so guys don't even think about it. I started spinning with Juanito(he'd already been spinning for many years)over 5 years ago by playing house parties and cutting our teeth playing at the Mineshaft Tavern for a long time in Madrid New Mexico. We got inspired to name the sound Terra-ist after hearing Terror so much after 911. We were some of the first dj's to play at 2nd Street Brewery and had a long standing residency there. We've played many places throughout the state and even Colorado. Heaps of new music has been shared between us and many good times had. Now that he's taking a hiatus I'm out doing it on my own now. Always searching for new tunes to get you inspired and hopefully dancing.
