Interests

  • General

Music, alcohol, meeting people, mates, meeting people and my mates while drunk listening to music.
  • Music

  • Books

Anything by Umberto Eco and David Mitchell and Haruki Murakami. Oh and DBC Pierre, though the last one wasn't as good as the first. In fact, I've enjoyed each of David Mitchell's less and less since 'Ghostwritten'. Fuck, I forgot to mention Douglas Adams. He moulded my brain when I was younger. Weird how you can miss someone you never met.
  • Heroes

Anyone who has the strength to see through what they believe in when everyone tells them they're wrong.

Blurbs

About me:

Editor of the World's Greatest Rock Weekly, NME, which is both more difficult and more fun that you'd imagine. I spend too much time in the office and not enough time in Los Angeles hanging out with rock stars which is strange because all my staff seem to do exactly the opposite. I drink too much and enjoy doing so, get slightly teary at gigs if they're really good and get a funny tingling in my stomach when I hear really great new music. No, it's not wind. Somehow I've ended up with the best job in the world which surspises me every morning when I wake up. [Marc, can you sub this for me now... ?]

Who I'd like to meet:

Most of the NME staff who should be doing something to do with the paper but spend most of their time on here searching out new bands.
