7/15/08 - I was searchin' through the internet and found an interesting website actually transmitting live ATC Communications, and thought i might share it with all interested in aviation that might stumble on my page. LIVEATC.COM For all my friends that know my voice, you might notice inside the frequencies for KEMT that i might be flying, N100QA or N9914L or N35664, these are the aircraft I fly. I will be approaching on my solo and hope to record my transmissions to my PC. But it is difficult to do. Well, at least at the these moments when i should be studying. But, i just wanted to share this info with any that are interested. Use the CTRL + F to use the find function on your browser and type the following in without qoutes "KEMT" and it should take you straight into the ATC for El Monte. Download the M3U playlist and listen in. Though i tried to get it to work on the iTouch, PSP, and PS3 but all efforts are negative. Its best to say be near a computer if you wanna hear any ATC transmissions from this site.

- 2/26/08 11:00am - Today we come in at KEMT (El Monte Airport) we came late from Downtown LA because we over slept...lol. But since it was not possible to complete the 2 hours we had anticipated in doing, we ended up going up for an hour. Jason our flight instructor for the day, showed us the procedure on how to pre-flight the plane and check if there is any debris or loose nuts or bolts on the plane that can become loose in flight, we also made sure that we checked the brakes, wheels, rudder ailerons, and such. Then we were provided a look of the airplane inside so we can familiarize ourselves with the airplane controls, thanks to the simulator and some training online, i was able to locate the instruments with no problem. After familiarizing ourselves with the plane we followed a checklist to make sure we had everything set for takeoff. Then my instructor called in and said "El Monte tower, cessna 100QA is ready to taxi" "Cessna 100QA taxi and hold short of runway 19" "Hold short of runway 19, 100QA" and with that we were off to the taxi way. After take off we saw the santa anita racetrack it was the same aerial view on my flight simulator scenery now i know it will help me do a visual on the area. After that came the landing...it felt so freakin scary because i could not get a good handle over the aircraft mainly i think because of so much movement from the air, so i decided to hand over the controls to Jason and saw how he landed it over a small bridge right before runway 19. Our flight ended and for real i was to nervous to touch the trim or the mixture but i'm sure if i let my friend go first i can get used to this feeling after a while of flying. this time i will be up for 2 hours now that we know how to get there and i'm sure i will have fun next time we go up. I logged in .9 hours almost an hour i believe but i will check on that a little more...well till next time and hope i can write more interesting things on my page soon.

- 2/13/08 6:33pm - Alright well i uploaded some videos on youtube.com and i posted a cool video of a so-so landing, *HINT* check out the spoliers! (They are not suppose to be up on final...figures...but i'll keep practicing!) Its a Good thing Cessna's won't have spoilers to worry about so i should be fine I just need to remember to slow down before final. The video is on your left and "On behalf of your crew here at Southwest Airlines remember, last one off the plane CLEANS IT! ^___^."
- 2/11/08 2:00pm - Hell yeah! On friday it looks like i will be going up to corona airport not take a plane, but to DRIVE the plane. Trust me this is no Flight Simulator X matter. I will physically be going with my friend in the back enjoying the ride. And its looks like i have enough for 2 hours, 1 trip a month to log in hours on a Cessna 172 aircraft. Damn this is SOO exciting i cannot wait to feel in control of the aircraft. Well i'm pretty sure all those flight simulator flights are worth something! ^___^ Alrighty, signing off for now for the next best thing in my life...let's see what happens.
